  • I haven’t been keeping up with coach Smith’s pressers, so I don’t know if he has confirmed this publicly, but I noticed Caleb Lohner is now on the roster.

He would add much needed size/strength/experience in the frontcourt, especially for B12 play. Based on his stats, he wasn’t much of a scorer but seemed to be a decent rebounder.

50 3PA out of 65 FGA for the game is crazy. I watched the first half – all 3s. There was a stretch where they must’ve shot a dozen 3s in a row. It was about as one-dimensional as it gets and seems like it was mostly more of the same in the 2H. They made a great %, but was not that great to watch and would expect them to able to create more…[Read more]

  • I previously said he reminds me a lot of Mike Dunleavy Jr. Just average athleticism, but really good all-around skills, IQ and feel for the game. Non-conference schedule is very weak, so will have to wait to see if he can compete at power conference level.

Whitt has already said it will be Wilson or Rose; Huard seemingly isn’t in the picture unless those two become unplayable.

I think it’s plausible that Whitt guaranteed Wilson his place in the depth chart in order to secure his commitment. After seemingly whiffing on Zach, there was probably a lot of pressure to secure Isaac’s recruitment. Being b…[Read more]

After seemingly whiffing on Zach, there was probably a lot of pressure to secure Isaac’s recruitment. Being basically handcuffed to favoring Wilson even if Rose or Huard are outperforming him in practice would fit the rum…[Read more]

  • Yeah in any case I think everyone is just ready to be done with and past the Cam saga, but what has happened to the team in the last couple years could have devastating effects on the program.

  • Rising is not a coach, he was a player, which means “his job” when he is not playing is supporting his teammates.

Fair, but he didn’t seem to be doing much supporting last night. In the several times he was shown, only once was he seen interacting with players (high-fiving Bernard after the TD); he was otherwise always sitting off with the sam…[Read more]

  • I’m fairly convinced Whitt’s plan was to ride Cam to the CFP last/this season and retire and every decision made in the last two years was made based on this plan, i.e. he put all his eggs in the Cam basket. I think playing Cam last week was his last ditch desperate attempt to save CFP hopes. Wilson clearly isn’t ready (also exacerbated by…[Read more]
