I think what will happen is that some players will get screwed and they will realize that they need to have a players union, that will lead to collective bargaining and regulations that will be “mutually beneficial”. Right now it’s just one way but as soon as the players start feeling as though they are getting short end they will demand regulations. Capitalism has a way of regulating itself. Gonna be a crazy few years until that happens.

Man, I don’t even understand the question… I’m such a football slut that I couldn’t tear my eyes away if I wanted to. Also I don’t want to. Guess I need to seek counseling.

Hell given the landscape of college football now, if we are winning a lot then there might not be a choice in this. Our OC and proven QB might bounce every year if we can look good enough.

I see the merit in this. Take advantage of the broken system and use it to your advantage. Seems like having more continuity in OL would be the main caveat to the system.

I can’t believe I’m cheering for Sparky. Of all the PAC 12 teams, I’ve hated then the most in the past. I think a lot of that went to the coaches. But I kind like Dillingham and am pulling for them.

I’m not as down on the Big XII as others here. Partly because beggars can’t be choosers and I remember the desperation I felt when we might not get a real conference. I understand the arguments but I’m trying to invest in the new conference.

      Go forks!

I wanted Quinton to be good here, but I’ve lost all faith in him. Him more than anyone. The running back room has been a wreck with constant drama and none of the new people developing. I blamed Tavion but then similar things happened again and again.

This used to be our biggest strength. Obviously I’m not in the locker room so I don’t know exactly why these things are happening but from a fan perspective it’s been a problem. I was/am hoping for a mix up there.

Can’t blame the dude. Barely saw the field, seemed promising but never utilized.

Sadly, his only Utah highlight was him throwing into octuple coverage across the field for the worst trick play design ever.

I wanted to blame him for throwing it but since it was his first time on the field kinda hard to not want to make something of the lone opportunity.

The contract had stipulations built in for when Whitt retires and what Scalley’s salary could be accordingly. It went 5 years out.

So he must have had some input but there must have been some open ended nature and he agreed.

Totally agree! Special teams have been terrible going back 3 years, at least. (Was it 2 blocked punts against Oregon St two seasons ago?) Shah is great with the DBs but clearly not a special teams guru. Need to make a change and now is the time.

Oh yeah… At that point it’s semi pro and might retain names of universities for tradition/location but will need to be separate from the university structure.
