Whitt has lost a lot of credibility the past two seasons.
Harlan hasn’t earned credibility.
Trust the process and the people? Yeah, forgive me if I have some trust issues.

And Farden wasn’t Harlan’s first scandal.

What has Harlan done in his time at Utah? Name one positive transformation Harlan has made while at Utah? Give me one thing.
All he’s shown to date is he’s a sustained. He took what he inherited from Hill and hasn’t screwed it up and even then he’s had some considerable misses.
But this shouldn’t be the measure of success in what is the most…[Read more]

Texas ties are always good. I think he also got QB TJ Finley to transfer into Texas State from LSU.

Yergensen replied to the topic Is this how it went down in the preseason with Isaac Wilson in the forum Football 3 weeks, 5 days ago
There were plays in the Utah State game where Isaac went thru his progressions and made the right throws. There were plays in that game where he manipulated LB and safeties.
Maybe it was the competition, maybe not. But he’s not doing those things now.

Zach’s bugaboo has been slow processing time and poor decision making when the resulting pressure comes.
Zach has had one great season in his career. A season filled with clean pockets and poor competition. BYU played 10 Mississippi rush football in 2020. Zach’s been inconsistent at best otherwise with flashes of brilliance and moments of stu…[Read more]

Question is why is his processing turtle slow right now?
This wasn’t the case earlier in the season. From Utah St to now there’s been regression. Why?
Whitt is likely part of the problem. His QB thou shalt nots have paralyzed QBs in the past.

Preach on brother.
Twenty years of boring offensive football, ~10 offensive coordinators, 1 head coach. Who is the common denominator?
BTW – does Whitt not have analytics on Becker from the right hash?

My bad, I was thinking the left hander out of a Washington or Oregon HS that wasn’t recruited by anyone else. Guard’s college career sadly is similar to Cooper Bateman’s.

Which is crazy given one was a 5* and the other a PWO or 1 offer recruit (I forget which Bateman was).

True Freshman QB = steep learning curve
History shows true Freshmen QB almost always do better with at least one year of learning from the sidelines. Combine this with the dysfunction in the program and it adds up to a tough year. We need to give Isaac a break.

Know a guy that knew Troy Taylor when he was here. Taylor told him that as the seasons progressed, Whitt became more and more “involved” in the offense.

I’m pulling for a PAC 12 final.
I never campaigned against the B12 or derided the conference.
However, B12 and TSPP crapping on the PAC 12 and our program by association, that I didn’t like.

IMO we’ve only seen this (making lemonade out of lemon offense/situation) done once during Whitt’s tenure when Norm Chow took a D2 QB and Mountain West talent to within a couple points of playing for P12 championship.
So, it can be done and our current situation would have been improved with such competence at OC. I just don’t believe that Whitt…[Read more]

Tom Brady and the Raiders are targeting Shedeur. I imagine they’d listen to offers.
Cowboys biggest problem is they just resigned Dak to 4 yr deal, $231 million guaranteed and nobody else wants any part of that deal.
I do think Deion to the Cowboys is not just possible, but likely.

Agreed that we have problems and we shouldn’t have been in a position to allow the officials to influence the outcome, but I don’t put it on the defense. Scalley and the defense have a backache from carrying this team all year. If the offense averages 24 pts per game like last year’s juggernaut we are 8-1.
