Fearful and insecure haters want to make it seem like Utah Football isn’t a national brand, that it is an unknown outside the state.
Here are some of the Utah Football Brand characteristics from national, not local, media:
“Death, Taxes, Utah Football” – Joel Klatt
“The Big 12 is absolutely not ready for the ball of razor blades and napalm…[Read more]

Tim Patrick will sign with Lions and start on their practice squad and work his way up.

Denver fan and media favorite. Recently took a paycut to make things work. Ironically, Vele making TP expendable is one of the factors.

I think you meant 2008 team. Nobody came close to beating the 2004 team.

Poor tackling in the Florida game had more to do with being out athleted than preparation.

Not much difference from a W-L perspective. I wonder if point differential day vs. night shows anything.
One thing I’d be willing to bet, night decibel level > day decibel level. Our inner demons seem to come out after dark.

Isaac Wilson by the 4th quarter. Cam has a year of rust to work off, but let’s not take any unnecessary risk at the same time.
I’d also like to see Caleb Lohner and Hunter Andrews play.

This is a deviation from our MO of neck and neck, you’ll know no earlier than first game snap.
Why make this known publicly and early? It confirms our commitment to our best QB prospect. It could also send a message to Myles as to who is most likely to be QB1 next year and that we will be developing him now.
In Myles’ visit it was indicated he…[Read more]

Insecurity is loud and a contingent of Utah fans have been loud. I know where it comes from, we’ve had to fight for respect in CFB for all of my fandom.
What I hope for going forward is, to take from a coaching adage, we act like we’ve been there before. Barry Sanders was soft spoken, handed the ball to an official after scoring while kicking a$$…[Read more]

Thanks as always OnlyU. I’m wondering if you care to and can provide a couple additional insights for me.
Why are the coaches higher on Parks, giving him more reps and targets, than more productive WR (see Parks and McClain in 2023)?
Also, where is John Randall Jr. in the RB mix and where is he at in his development. He looks like the one cut a…[Read more]

Nice! How far back do your Interista roots go? My AC Milan fandom goes back to 1992, but I’m not too serious about it. We can be friends except for during the derby.

Rivalry week can be a trap game, if you have secured your place in the championship game (see Utah BYU 2018). Given our projections this season, I like when the rivalry game is being played.

That should be start of ski season. If you’re not a skier/snowboarder you can still get up to Park City for a tour of Olympic Park and ride bobsled track. Hit Park City restaurants/bars after.

We were Nike before UA. This looks more like a thrift store find of a relic than an unveiling of new gear.

This is true, Glover’s breakout was 1 Colorado game.
Bill Riley, company man, said the other day on what to expect from this year’s RBs that Glover “is what he is.” Riley expects Micah to lead in both rush and pass yards.

Yergensen replied to the topic Seeing talk about FSU and Clemson being courted by the Big 12. in the forum Football 5 months, 1 week ago
A couple of things:
1) The original report, pre- McMurphy, was speculative. The reporter said “I think” the parties are talking, but nothing verifiable. It was perpetuated as they are talking.
2) It’s hard for us to see them joining the B12 because we see the consolidation of the top tier happening across 2 conferences, not 3. This doesn…[Read more]

2023 stats:
Money Parks:
31 rec/293 yds/9.5 yds per rec/2 TDMunir McClain:
15 rec/269 yds/17.9 yds per rec/2 TDMcClain produced the same as Parks on half the opportunities. McClain needs to be playing more and Parks needs to be playing less.
This highlights another quandary in Utah’s offensive scheme. Not only are we run heavy, when we do d…[Read more]
