Our reality flipped over the weekend falling in the standings and rankings behind a certain eager overachiever in the B12 conference.

That fanbase will be or is already projecting based on 2 conference games as they are prone to do. We know not to do the same. We know from experience that this is a war of attrition and some battles are lost.…[Read more]

This fanbase fascination with Armand Shyne just keeps on going.

Did you assume we’d be 4-1 with Cam or with a FR QB?

I think if we adjusted our expectations to the latter we would be good with our current position.

The future on the other hand…coaches have to be better, we need a smart Cam Rising back, we need Reid back, some luck at RB and a fire in the belly week in/week out.

If not, plates of crow for…[Read more]

I agree Central, Isaac uses WR more than Cam.

Let me say I have Cam as my Utah QB GOAT and posted this here with mixed response. This is because he wins conference championships, 2 for 2 when he plays a full season.

IMO he is a great leader and a great competitor. He is not a great QB. He doesn’t have arm talent, at least not since the s…[Read more]

Every RB, college and NFL is running hurt in September and throughout the season. It goes with the position. So, that in no way says MB is less durable or injury prone (see label slapped on JJ last year).

For the record, if the goal is season long activity and career longevity, I don’t think any RB should be getting 25 carries a game. What I t…[Read more]

What has surprised people about MB is his durability and workhorse capability.

The narrative, which I never believed, was MB couldn’t carry a full workload. Whitt was saying just last week MB is not a 25 carry a game guy. Well, Coach…

MB has done everything asked of him, reduced and specialty roles, bigger roles, offense, defense and special tea…[Read more]

And the scheme should have been fit to NJ strengths. Instead Ludwig forced him to stay in and play from the pocket.

It probably had something to do with NJ fumbles/ball security and our coaches’ risk aversion, but they never let that peacock fly (translation RPO with NJ given the green light to keep and run or keep and throw).

Barnes is a one read QB.

Keep Becker left of the right hash and he’s fine.

Unfortunately since the injury Cam is laterally slow. He’s okay straight ahead.

Isaac is much more of a threat to break big runs.

This is even more reason Cam should just throw the ball away. He has to adjust his game.

  • This time it’s Scott Van Pelt. High praise, right on brand.

To be clear, Lohner wasn’t involved with the hold in question. Lohner blocked #9 at the end of the run. Hit the guy hard.

  • Yergensen replied to the topic Lohner? in the forum Football 8 months ago

He hammered Ok St #9 on I think it was Isaac’s scramble when Gundy freaked out on an alleged missed hold.

Was also in on the OSU missed FG as mentioned.

  • When has MB not broken tackles?

The versatile, can’t carry a full workload narrative on MB from coaches and fans has been complete bullsh!t.

Whitt even continued with it just last week claiming MB is not a 25 carry RB.

Well Coach, MB would like a word.

  • Running back played great, the rest did not. Time to change your tune on MB.

  • Yergensen replied to the topic Prevent defense play calls in the forum Football 8 months ago

It was a mistake plain and simple repeated 2X. I don’t know who made the call, Whitt or Scalley, but it was a mistake.

It’s supposed to prevent the big play TD. Instead it allowed two TDs in 3-4 plays and 2 minutes of play.

You can argue outcome, but prevent D put us at risk of losing a game that we could have kept out of reach otherwise.

  • Yergensen replied to the topic let’s talk about rising in the forum Football 8 months ago

Brock Huard said it best, pregame he observed Cam throwing. Said Cam should have been throwing fastballs, but instead was throwing change-ups.

Throwing hand injury affects his velocity and accuracy. You wait until that is healed.

Right call to go with Isaac. We’re playing with house money right now. Let’s get Cam, Karene and Connor back and we’…[Read more]

  • You did put it on Cam Proud. You questioned his toughness.

This coming from you who said he would never trust Whitt with communication again.

Stop putting 2023 and now 2024 on a student athlete. Student athletes aren’t running the show.

  • today or any other day.

We’re over simplifying a QB throwing hand injury. If the injury still affects Cam’s velocity and/or accuracy, we know what that means to pass game success. If it’s an issue, then it makes sense to go with Isaac.

100% behind either Cam or Isaac. No woulda, coulda, shouldas. My team is on the field.

    LFG.

  • Nobody outside the program knows the extent of the injury or Cam’s effectiveness in throwing the ball. Given Cam’s efforts to play at less than 100% throughout his career, if he doesn’t play today it’s because he can’t be effective throwing the ball. That’s it.

Any disinformation bullsh!t you can put squarely on the CEO of this outfit. It’…[Read more]
